THE KIMBERLEY SAPS Detectives are investigating a house robbery after five suspects entered a home in Synagogue Street on May 23 and threatened a family at gunpoint.
It is believed that jewellery was stolen from a safe before the suspects fled the scene.
Northern Cape police spokesperson Colonel Cherelle Ehlers said the incident occurred on Friday at about 3.30am.
“It is alleged that five unknown males entered a house in the Memorial Road area. The assailants reportedly held an adult female and her two young sons at gunpoint and ransacked the house,” she said.
“The female victim was apparently assaulted. The suspects then fled the scene with household items.”
Ehlers urged anyone with information to contact Captain Naomi Mufaro at 063 691 0826, the SAPS Crime Stop number at 08600 10111, or via the MySAPS app.
“All information will be handled confidentially,” she added.
