Douglas farm murder: Police on the hunt for two persons of interest

THE POLICE in Douglas are searching for two men believed to have information that could help crack a murder case that has left the local farming community seeking answers.

Northern Cape police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Sergio Kock said the incident occurred in the early hours of April 19, 2025, on a farm outside the town, where a man was found murdered. 

Investigators believe that two individuals - identified as Wayne Masunga, 26, and Jacob Chigome, believed to be in his late thirties - may hold key details that could assist in solving the case. Both men are reportedly Zimbabwean nationals.

As the investigation unfolds, detectives are urging anyone who may know the whereabouts of Masunga or Chigome to come forward. The search has intensified, with authorities appealing to the public to report sightings or information that could aid in tracking them down.

The police have assured that all information provided will be handled in strict confidence.
