THE ACVV welfare organisation recently held a safe environment programme for children aged 6-17 at the Isibindi Child and Youth Agency Care Centre in Soul City, Galeshewe.
A community development worker at ACVV, Poppy Thebe, explained that the event on March 24 was attended by various stakeholders, including the SAPS, Grassroots Edge, Disabled Children's Action Group, ACVV social worker Shermone Sebybo and the Moral Regeneration Movement.
She added that counselling and emotional support were also offered during the programme.
A safety awareness programme was held in Soul City on March 24.
