NORTHERN Cape provincial commissioner Lieutenant-General Koliswa Otola has officially conferred the rank of Brigadier upon Jacobeth Nkhensani Pooa, the newly appointed provincial head of Operational Co-ordination.

Brigadier Pooa assumed her new role on March 1, 2025, bringing over 14 years of experience in operational co-ordination, particularly in managing major events.

The conferment ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including deputy provincial commissioners Major-General Luntu Ngubelange and Major-General Johnny Besnaar, as well as district commissioners, provincial heads, station commanders, and representatives from the provincial CPF Board and labour unions.

Lieutenant-General Otola congratulated Brigadier Pooa on her well-deserved promotion, acknowledging the added responsibilities and challenges that come with her new role. She expressed confidence in Brigadier Pooa's capabilities, wishing her success as a senior manager.
