Sol Plaatje mayor Martha Bartlett is 'alive and well'

SOL PLAATJE executive mayor Martha Bartlett is "very much alive", according to a statement released by the municipality on Wednesday, dispelling rumours of her supposed death.

A spokesperson for the Office of the Mayor, Keobakile Musunse, dismissed claims of the mayor's ill health or alleged passing as false.

"The municipality wishes to assure the public that councillor Bartlett is in good health and continues to diligently fulfill her responsibilities as executive mayor,” said Musunse.

"She remains fully committed to her duties to serve the community, in line with her oath of office, and is actively working to further the mission and vision of Sol Plaatje Municipality.”
