McLAREN Circus is set to return to Kimberley with a two-hour live show, promising a thrilling and action-packed experience as part of its 20th-anniversary tour.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the circus has relocated to Flamingo Casino, a venue that has hosted its performances in the past.
This year’s programme features a diverse line-up of acts, including the Russian Swing performed by a Mongolian acrobatic troupe, a first in South Africa. Audiences can also expect acrobats, a juggling duo, a Rola Bola balancing act, and an aerial silk performance.
Local daredevil Quintin Louw will take on the Wheel of Death, while resident clown Chakalaka provides comic relief and keeps the children entertained. The show will also feature a variety of beautiful animals, including horses, ponies, poodles, baby camels, llamas, lions, and Bengal tigers.
During intermission, visitors will have the opportunity to take a photo with a Burmese python, and children can participate in pony rides and enter the circus ring.
Tickets are available online at www.mclarencircus.co.za, with discounts listed on the circus’s Facebook page. Tickets can also be purchased at the on-site ticket office from 12 noon daily.
The circus is also running a special Thursday 7pm show, with all tickets and seats priced at R150 per person.
The McLaren Circus will run at Flamingo Casino until Sunday, February 23. The first performance takes place on Tuesday, February 18 at 7pm.
