GALESHEWE residents and others from across Kimberley took advantage of free medical check-ups on Saturday as Ekhaya Private Hospital hosted its first Health Intact Day.
The initiative, part of the hospital’s 30-day opening celebrations, saw a strong turnout.
Ekhaya, the first private hospital in Galeshewe, officially opened its doors on February 8. Hospital spokesperson Mercia Mbayimbayi highlighted the importance of the event, stating that it aimed to promote early detection of health issues and encourage proactive health care among residents.
Attendees received free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels, reinforcing the hospital’s commitment to accessible health care for the community.
