Sol Plaatje mayor and Vodacom visit top-performing schools

SOL PLAATJE executive mayor Martha Bartlett and Vodacom representatives visited Dr EP Lekhela High School in Kimbelrey on Wednesday to celebrate the school’s outstanding performance in the 2024 National Senior Certificate examinations.

Spokesperson for the Office of the Mayor, Keabakile Musunse, said Vodacom handed out gifts to pupils in recognition of the school’s 98% matric pass rate.

“Renowned celebrity and motivational speaker Muvendeni Musanda Ndandaleni, from the Musanda Foundation, provided words of encouragement,” said Musunse.

She added that the municipal delegation would also visit Vuyolwethu High School, Homevale High School and Tshireleco High School on Thursday.
