Mothibistad police seek help locating missing woman

THE MOTHIBISTAD police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 58-year-old Mary Tauname, who has been reported missing.

According to Northern Cape police spokesperson Captain Nomvuyo Makoloi, Mary showed up at her daughter's home in Gamasepa village, Mothibistad, on Monday, October 21. Her family checked on her at 10 minutes past midnight, on October 22, and she was still at home. However, at 7am the same day, the family discovered that she had left the house during the night.

At the time of her disappearance, Mary was wearing a blue traditional dress paired with white sneakers and a black and gold wig (hairpiece). The family has been actively searching for her and has since reported her missing to the police.

Captain Makoloi reminded the public that there is no waiting period to report a person missing.
