THE GALESHEWE police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving after a taxi transporting pupils to school on Monday morning was involved in an accident.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Molefi Shemane said the incident occurred at about 7.15am.
“A 39-year-old female taxi driver, who was transporting primary school pupils to school, allegedly lost control of the taxi and drove into a wall in Hulana Street in Galeshewe,” said Shemane.
He added that the taxi driver and six pupils sustained injuries and were transported by ambulance to hospital for further medical examination.
“No serious injuries were reported. The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated,” Shemane concluded.
