THE MOTHIBISTAD police managed to locate the family of a four-year-old boy who was found abandoned at a house in Magojaneng village.

The boy was allegedly left at the home of Koketso Thobega, who stated that he found the child sleeping next to him on Sunday morning, April 14.

Mothibistad SAPS Vispol commander Captain Nomvuyo Makoloi said Thobega did not know the child or the mother of the boy.

“He indicated that he does not lock his house and suspected that someone entered and left the boy inside,” said Makoloi.

He stated further that the boy was taken to the Mothibistad police station on the weekend. The police managed to locate the boy’s family.

“We extend appreciation for the assistance of the community in locating the relatives of the little boy,” said Makoloi.

“The little boy will be taken for medical assessment and has been reunited with his family.”
