A YOUNG girl from Kimberley, Mishka Boughan, achieved a stunning feat when she was crowned Miss Pre-teen Model World at a grand ceremony in the Dominican Republic on Sunday.
Her journey to this prestigious title began when she was crowned Miss Pre-Teen Universe South Africa 2024/25 in Durban last month. Departing on Friday, April 5, 12-year-old Mishka participated in the week-long international leg of the competition in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Accompanied by her proud mother, Rene Boughan, and her coach, Theanè Willemse (herself crowned Miss Teen Universe South Africa in 2022), Mishka competed against representatives from nine other countries.
Her standout moment came as she confidently strutted her stuff in a Springbok-themed costume, which she revealed was inspired by the national rugby team’s World Cup triumph.
Mishka’s triumphant return home is scheduled for Wednesday at 5pm, when she will land at the Kimberley Airport.
Residents of Kimberley and the Northern Cape are invited to join her family, friends, fellow models and classmates in welcoming her at the airport.
