THE KATHU SAPS Crime Prevention unit, with the assistance of the Kuruman K9 and Crime Intelligence units, arrested a suspected drug dealer on Tuesday at around noon.
Northern Cape police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Sergio Kock said the police followed up on information and raided a house in Kathu where they found drugs, including tik and mandrax, with an estimated street value of R13,000.
The police also arrested a Nigerian national on the scene.
“The 29-year-old suspect is expected to appear in the Kathu Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of dealing in drugs,” said Kock.
“The SAPS will continue to squeeze the space for criminals to operate during the Easter holidays and beyond,” he added.
