City airport conducts emergency simulation drills

A STATE of readiness simulation took place at Kimberley Airport on Thursday to prepare and minimise impact on operations.

The exercise, which is conducted every two years, included a bomb detonating, firefighting, passenger evacuations, handling of multiple injuries and fatalities and unlawful interference.

The simulation was observed by the Civil Aviation Authority.
