Boipelo Mere|Published 2 years ago

THE KAGISHO police have opened an inquest docket into the death of an unknown man whose body was found hanging from a tree at the ABC Cemetery in Galeshewe on Sunday.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Sergio Kock said the discovery was made at about 7.30am by a passer-by, who contacted the police.

Kock described the deceased as being about 1.7 metres tall, of slender build, dark in complexion and approximately 40 years old.

“He was dressed in a black hoodie, jeans, white and black polka-dot socks and black sneakers,” said Kock.

“No foul play is currently suspected, however, an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.”

Kock added that no one has come forth to positively identify the deceased yet.

He requested members of the community, or anyone with a missing family member, to contact the police in an effort to identify the deceased.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Donna Palm on 060 972 3262.
