Four killed in crash near Lime Acres

THE LIME Acres police are investigating a culpable homicide case after four people were killed when a minibus crashed on the R385 between Lime Acres and Postmasburg on Sunday.

Northern Cape police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Sergio Kock said the accident occurred at around midday, approximately 5km outside of Lime Acres.

It is believed that the vehicle, which had 14 occupants, suffered a burst tyre and then rolled.

“Two adult females, whose ages are unknown, and one minor boy died, while seven others were transported to hospital for medical treatment. A fourth person, a female, later died in the Postmasburg hospital,” said Kock.

“The investigation continues.”
