Meta-owned WhatsApp is currently facing a global outage as multiple users reported that they cannot access the messaging service or get a single tick even for delivered messages.
According to Down Detector, over 85 percent of people reported problems while messaging, 11 percent while using the app, and three percent while using the website.
The hugely popular service, which boasts over 2 billion users worldwide, has been hit by some serious gremlins which have left thousands of fans unable to use the platform or speak to friends and family. When trying to chat, many are simply seeing the clock icon on their messages which means they haven't been sent.
Users from India, the US, Germany, South Africa, Bahrain, Bangladesh and several other countries also complained on the platform that the service is currently creating a disturbance and not working smoothly.
Users are facing trouble while sending images and videos.
People took to Twitter to report their problems with Facebook family apps, including posting memes and GIFs.
"Today online, one tick for both deliver and read messages. Is WhatsApp down? #WhatsApp #whatsappdown," a user wrote on Twitter.
"WhatsApp is down in many countries, including Pakistan," another user wrote.
Meanwhile, the platform hasn't shared any official statement on the matter.
Early this month, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger went down for millions of users, including in India, as they were unable to send or receive messages on social media platforms.
