THE KIMBERLEY police are investigating a case business robbery after a Beaconsfield supermarket owner was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money at gunpoint.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sergio Kock said the incident occurred on Sunday morning, January 17, 2021.
“At about 7:20am the owner of the supermarket opened the shop when he was approached by three unknown masked men. One of the suspects was wearing a black jacket, the other a green jacket and a white bucket cap while the third suspect was apparently armed with a firearm.
“The men tied up the owner with cable ties and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, a 9mm pistol and other valuables,” Kock said.
He added that the suspects fled the scene in a white VW Golf. Anyone with information about the incident can contact Detective Constable Bernard Sebogilwe on 060 864 6128. The investigation continues.
