The countdown for Miss SA grand finale is on!

After weeks of headline-making drama, the anticipation of who will take the crown this year is slowly starting to fill the air.

The tickets have been announced, and the date for the finale is scheduled, but there is one thing missing: a presenter.

Ever since Bonang Matheba's final appearance last year, speculation has been rife online about who will present this year's grand finale.

We are a week away from the finale, and the organisation has yet to announce this year’s presenter.

It is not shocking, though, that they have not yet made the announcement, considering how things have been done this year.

Despite this delay, Mzansi is excited about what the evening has in store.

The organisation has revealed in a statement on Saturday, October 11, that enthusiasts can expect a night of celebration as well as glamour, where we will see nine finalists battle for the crown.

“This year’s pageant promises to be a night of glamour, inspiration and transformation, as nine talented finalists compete for the coveted title.

“Each finalist has committed to driving meaningful change in their communities, focusing on job creation, education, health, civic engagement and Pan-African collaboration as part of the Empower Youth Africa movement,” it revealed.

This year’s pageant has undergone some drastic changes, including new organisers at the helm, a Top 10 format leading into the finale, and the broadcast now moving to a different channel.

The organisation revealed that the finale will now air on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) as a part of the pageant’s new era.

Now that we are days away from the highly anticipated finale, here’s a recap of Miss SA 2025 changes:

A former contestant, Lebohang Msimanga from KwaZulu-Natal, unfortunately withdrew from the competition, citing that this decision would best serve her individual path and well-being, leaving only the top nine competing.

Bridgett Jones found herself at the centre of controversy when her former colleague, Kayla Jenecker, accused her of bullying.

However, those claims ended up being deemed as untrue when investigations were done by the Miss SA organisation, which revealed that at the time when everything was taking place, Jones had left the company.

It was revealed that, unfortunately, SA will not be competing at Miss Universe this year due to how the timeline for this year’s pageant has changed, which affected the time and preparation for the incoming queen to compete next month.

Furthermore, the company is now under new leadership, the Motsepe company, which has promised a new era for the beauty pageant, hence all these changes.

The Miss SA grand finale is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 25, at Sunbet Arena in Pretoria at 7pm.
