After months of confusion and worry, the Miss SA organisation has finally come out of its hiatus about this year’s beauty pageant.

Taking to social media on Sunday, September 14, to share that the beauty will still be taking place this year and revealed that they will be announcing the Top 10 this Tuesday, September 16.

“BIG ANNOUNCEMENT ALERT! Something exciting is coming your way on 16 September 2025. We’re revealing the Miss SA 2025 Top 10 AND announcing the finale date you’ve all been waiting for!

“Stay tuned … the countdown to the crown has officially begun,” they captioned the post.

On Monday morning, the organisation also revealed the judging panel for this year’s highly anticipated pageant.

Model and former Miss SA 2022, Ndavi Nokeri, has been announced as the official finalist judge.

Joining Nokeri is investigative journalist Devi Sankaree Govender, who is popularly known for “The Devi Show” on e.tv.

Lastly, we have Liezel van der Westhuizen, a certified neuroscience and mental fitness coach.

This year, the Miss SA pageant had its fair share of ups and downs, leaving fans in the dark as to whether or not the pageant will be taking place and if it will still be the same as in the past years.

In August, the organisation revealed that the pageant had been postponed to a much later date this year, leaving enthusiasts frustrated because of the lack of communication and reasons that many could not understand.

Despite the lingering questions from fans, the organisers still kept quiet and only issued statements when big changes, such as the former CEO, Stephanie Weil, stepping down from her position, as well as welcoming new organisers.

Werner Wessels also stepped down from his position as the organisation's creative director at the beginning of the year.

It seems like this year, things will be done quite differently compared to the previous years, as we already are expecting a top 10 instead of beginning at the top 30.

While we still await the official date for the finale, fans flooded the comment section as some expressed excitement over the long-awaited announcement, while others didn't

“This is exciting,” @princess_alinda.sa commented.

“So no crown chasers? Transparency is a myth at this point,” @lwazimgandela said.

“We are used to seeing the top 30 and the interview and a whole reality show. What in the half-baked process is this?” @tracytee added.
