Siya Kolisi changes his profile picture and drops 'husband' from his bio

Siya Kolisi has finally changed his Instagram profile picture and bio.

For years, Kolisi's profile photo featured a warm image of himself with his now-estranged wife, Rachel Kolisi. 

However, the Springbok captain has now replaced it with a photo of himself in action on the rugby field, signaling a new chapter in his personal and public life.

In October the couple announced that they would be getting divorced. 

Soon after the announcement, Rachel changed her profile picture as well as her bio, removing ‘wife’ from it. 

Siya has not only changed his profile picture but also removed ‘husband’ from his bio.

Married for over a decade, Siya and Rachel were often seen as South Africa’s “it” couple, navigating the challenges of fame, family, and Siya’s high-profile rugby career together. 

Their social media presence often offered glimpses of their life as a blended family raising their children with love and unity.

While Rachel spent time with the kids in Australia over the festive season, Siya spent New Year’s with them in Zimbabwe.

The decision to part ways was said to be amicable, with both parties committed to co-parenting their children and maintaining respect for one another. 

“This decision comes from a place of love, respect and understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us. While our relationship as a couple is changing, we remain great friends and committed partners in raising our children with the same love and care they’ve always known,” they said in a joint statement.
