GEORGE Clooney has urged people to wear a mask amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The 'Midnight Sky' hitmaker is asking everyone to don a face covering, as per current recommendations from the World Health Organisation, to "save another 60,000 lives".
Speaking on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, he said: "This thought where everybody is like, 'Well, it’s my freedom.' It’s like, that’s not how this s*** works, d******.
"Your freedom is this: You’re free to smoke until your lungs turn black, but you can’t do it on the bus. And you’re free to drink until your liver comes out your ass, but you can’t drink and then get behind the wheel of a car. Put on a f****** mask and we’ll get through this. We’ve got vaccines coming - let’s save another 60,000 lives before the vaccines."
Meanwhile, George previously insisted we will "come out better" after a difficult year.
He said: "This has been a crappy year for everyone. Started badly and ran badly all year long, until recently … But I’m very lucky. I ended up having a successful career. I wound up living in a home with some space in it. We can walk around outside ...
"You worry about your immediate family, and at the same time you worry about all of the Earth ... It’s been a crappy year. It has. But we’re gonna get through it. I believe that with my whole heart. If I didn’t believe that I don’t know how we’d raise kids in this world. We’re gonna get through these things and my hope and my belief is that we will come out better."
