NETFLIX has confirmed that "Running Point" will return for a second season, weeks after the first season premiered on February 27
“Running Point” is a sports comedy about Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson), a former party animal who wants to prove that she has turned her life around by managing her family’s professional basketball franchise after her brother is compelled to resign from the presidency of the Los Angeles Waves Basketball team.
However, for Gordon, running and being a president of a pro sports team comes with a lot of hurdles along the way that she is not ready to face.
Taking to X, the streaming giant compiled a video with comments from fans of the show who were demanding the second season to be released, with a video of Hudson confirming that the series is officially making its comeback.
“It’s official: See you next season. RUNNING POINT S2 IS COMING,” they captioned the post.
Fans flooded the comment section with over 9,000 likes and 1,000 comments, ecstatic over the announcement.
“Good. I was worried there for a minute,” @english_shamar said.
@CaptLuffy_ wrote, “another season of drama, hoops and questionable coaching decisions, bring it on.”
While @SushmaStories commented, “Oh, thank God you announced this. I came here to check this and it was not on the top tweet and that got me worried.”
Even though an announcement has been made, the return date of season two is yet to be confirmed. Brenda Song, who plays the role of Ali Lee, Gordon’s close friend, will also be joining Hudson in the next season.
