“Skeem Saam” actor Clement Maosa left fans confused on whether he is leaving the popular SABC1 soapie or not after he penned a heartfelt message on social media recently.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, January 28, Maosa posted a series of pictures from the recent episode and shared that he is forever grateful for the opportunities, memories and experiences presented to him when he joined “Skeem Saam”.
“Dear God, thank you for the gift of storytelling. @skeemsaam13 thank you for the many years of excellency and greatness.
“I will forever be grateful for the opportunity, memories and experiences. We laugh, cry, and celebrate together.”
He added that as an actor, his job is to tell stories that are authentic and will resonate with the audience every day.
He concluded by sharing that his character on “Skeem Saam” will forever be a part of his identity.
“I guess Kwaito, Zamokuhle, Kwai-Kwai Seakamela-Maputla is a part of my identity now 🫣. @sabc1_mzansifosho the journey continues FO SHO! I AM AN ACTOR!!! 🎭,” he shared.
Fans flooded the comment section, expressing their confusion about the message, while others stated that they knew that he was leaving.

While it is still unclear if he is leaving the soapie or not, Maosa has captured the hearts of viewers since he landed the role of Kwaito Seakamela in 2011.
Kwaito’s journey on “Skeem Saam” has become central to the show’s storyline as one of the leading characters, alongside Thabo Maputla (now portrayed by Hungani Ndlovu).
Viewers have watched Kwaito evolve from a high school student to a university graduate and businessman navigating complex family dynamics and criminal entanglements as he eventually settles into married life.
