Teyana Taylor’s awards streak continues with Bafta nomination

Teyana Taylor’s awards streak is certainly one for the books!

The American award-winning actress and singer is collecting these nominations like no other, making her the only woman this year to receive nominations in five major award shows.

The Baftas (British Academy Film Awards) announced the nominations for the upcoming award show on Tuesday, January 27 and  Taylor was among the nominees for her role in “One Battle After Another” for Best Supporting Actress.

Taking to Instagram to show her appreciation for the nod, revealing that she is thankful for recognition.

“I’m on this flight in tearssssssss! 😢🥹🤯 14 @bafta nominations for One Battle After Another!!!! My heart is so full,” she wrote.

The “Bare Wit Me” singer further added that she receives the honour and support with a deep humility and gratitude.

“To be seen, honored, and supported at every stop along this journey is something I receive with deep humility and gratitude with all glory to God 🥹🙏🏾,” she added.

So far, the actress has won the Golden Globe but she has also been nominated for a Bafta, an Oscar, a NAACP and an Actor Award which are scheduled to take place in February and March. 

The BAFTAs will air on February 26, followed by the Actor Awards on March 1, and the Academy Awards on March 15.

Taylor’s nominations and recognition are well deserved because the singer started her acting career back in 2010 and nearly two decades later, she is receiving all her flowers for gracing our screens.

In addition, the 35-year-old is also making her show-stopping appearances at fashion shows and set tongues wagging recently with her outfit at the Schiaparelli fashion show in Paris on Monday, January 26.

Taylor looked stunning in a transparent black lace top with a matching skirt and was adorned in a silver crown and an antique chandelier brooch that has a knot.

She topped the look with a long black coat and black high heels. 

One would say the outfit is too revealing but in the fashion world, there are definitely no limits because if we can have a razor blade dress, why can’t someone wear a sheer outfit?

Needless to say, this is definitely Taylor's season of wins!
