The family of the late Bravo Le Roux has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the repatriation of his body to South Africa and to assist with related expenses following his death in Switzerland.
News of Le Roux’s passing began circulating on social media last Friday. He was 30 years old.
The family has not disclosed the cause of death and has requested privacy during their mourning period.
In a public statement shared on the fundraising page, the family explained the purpose of the campaign and the challenges they are facing.
“Following the passing of Bravo Le Roux (Sinesipho Peter), many people have reached out to the family asking how they can offer support during this difficult time,” the statement reads.
“The family is currently facing the practical and financial challenges associated with repatriating Bravo to South Africa.”
The family said that the fundraiser will help cover the costs related to returning his body home, immediate expenses connected to his passing and long-term support for his daughter.
“Any contribution is entirely voluntary and deeply appreciated. Please give only what you feel comfortable with. Sharing this page is also a meaningful way to offer support,” the family added.
They also expressed gratitude for the messages they have received, saying, “The family is grateful for the kindness, messages, and support received and kindly asks for privacy as they mourn.”
Confirming the loss, the family described Le Roux as a “gifted creator” and a proud community ambassador.
They said that he was a devoted father, a loving son, a brother, a cousin and a dear friend whose care extended beyond his work and public life.
Le Roux’s wife, DJ Sab, also shared a message in tribute to her husband.
“With a heavy but loving heart, I share that my husband has passed away,” she wrote.
“The past days have been overwhelming, and I needed time to grieve and to be strong for our daughter. Thank you for the love, patience and kindness shown to us. We will always carry him in our hearts.”
