What in the cubic world is going on? It seems like the cubic shape is taking up space as the latest fashion trend. From box denim to LEGO shaped crocs, we are witnessing the ever-evolving world of fashion.
While people’s eyes are still recovering from seeing the square jeans featured in the square denim collection by Ukrainian designer Ksenia Schnaider, Crocs has entered the chat with their LEGO-shaped 3D-looking shoes.
The shoe brand did not just take inspiration from LEGO; they straight-up turned the shoe into a red brick. The LEGO Brick Clog looks exactly like something you would step on and regret.
It’s bold, chunky, square and stiff-looking, with big studs on top that enhance the LEGO appearance and will certainly make your feet look like actual LEGO blocks.
The strap is still there, but let’s be real, this shoe is much of a niche thing. A collector’s item if I do say so myself, but to each their own.
According to the LEGO website, each pair comes with a little collectable minifigure wearing matching red clogs, because this is clearly less about practicality and more about nostalgia and collector bragging rights.
“The LEGO Group and Crocs have come together to celebrate people’s bold and unapologetic creativity,” said Satwik Saraswati, head of licensing and extended line design & partnerships.
“Our common mission to enable self-expression and wear it with pride only marks the beginning of a journey with endless possibilities. We cannot wait for the rest of the world to join us and build together with us.”
The fashion statement piece will set you back by $149,99, (approximately R2,400). The Brick Clog shoes will be available at retail globally starting on February 16.
Rapper and visual artist Tommy Cash debuted the LEGO brick-shaped shoes at Paris Fashion Week during the EgnoLab menswear fall 2026 show.
He wore a black-and-white suit designed to look like interlocking LEGO bricks, paired with a bouquet of red roses, also made entirely from LEGOS.
People wasted no time sharing their thoughts on the outfit; some even called him a fashion legend.
“What happens if you step on a Lego? Love that outfit,” said one Instagram user.
“Thank you for the childhood memory: in the sixties, my siblings and I could only use simple bricks to create our Lego people, and that's exactly how their shoes looked,” another user commented.
Some were just not pleased at all, like the social media user who commented, “These aren’t shoes, they’re a health warning. Every step sounds like a lawsuit.”
