Did Springboks star Grant Williams just announce his engagement to Tamryn Cupido?

Springboks star Grant Williams subtly announced his engagement to his longtime partner, Tamryn Cupido, on Instagram.

Williams shared heart-warming pictures of his partner while they were on the beach, posing for the camera, and while his caption did not really hint at anything, the bling on Cupido’s ring finger told us everything we needed to know!

A dreamy beach proposal and a quiet announcement? Well, it appears to be exactly that.

The Sharks scrum-half captioned his post: “Life❤️.”

The 29-year-old has kept his life private, sharing only a few posts with his partner on his page.

Fans flooded Williams and Cupido with congratulatory messages on their engagement and wished the pair well on their next chapter.

“Congratulations, Grant and your lovely fiancée,” @dr_fabkaybe wrote.

“Congratulations with your engagement,” @simorne9 shared.

“Congratulations to the both of you,” @ilsemckenzie added.

While Edwill van der Merwe posted a meme of a groom preparing to walk down the aisle and putting on cologne.

The Springboks PR manager, Annalee Murray, on the other hand, also commented, congratulating the couple.

2026 might also be the year for the rugby players to either tie the knot, get engaged or maybe expand their families, just like last year, as Williams became the first rugby player this year to take the next step in his relationship.

Rugby players in 2025 had a good year in terms of their personal lives with heart-warming announcements.
