The time of the year has arrived when thousands of South African matriculants and their parents can finally breathe a sigh of relief following the release of the National Senior Certificate results.
The Class of 2025 matric results were released on January 13, with learners able to access their marks through their schools, the Department of Basic Education’s online platforms, and selected media outlets.
As always, the process sparked a mix of nerves, relief and celebration across the country.
Among the proud parents celebrating this milestone is "The Real Housewives of Durban" star Nonku Williams, whose daughter Nothile Williams was part of the matric Class of 2025. Nonku took to social media to share her joy after her daughter achieved impressive results.
“Beyond proud of my daughter @williamsnothile for passing her matric with two distinctions and a Bachelor’s pass! All glory to God, with Him, all things are possible. His guidance made this journey beautiful,” she wrote.
The reality TV star also shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation between herself and her daughter, in which Nothile confirmed that she had received two distinctions. The exchange offered followers a personal glimpse into the emotional moment - one filled with relief, gratitude and pride after months of hard work.
Nonku has often spoken openly about her journey as a mother and the challenges of raising children in the public eye. She once wrote on Instagram about parenting being full of highs and lows.
“Being a mom is a whirlwind of moments – the highs and lows, the laughter and tears. Sometimes life throws curveballs, like when both my little ones come down with something at the same time, and meetings and appointments take a backseat to snuggles and medicine.
"But in those moments, I’m reminded that being a mom is about showing up, loving unconditionally, and cherishing every moment – even the chaotic ones."
Nonku is a devoted mother of three, two sons and her eldest daughter, Nothile, whom she shares with the late gospel legend Sfiso Ncwane.
