Caster Semenya celebrates 9th wedding anniversary with wife Violet Raseboya

A decade of marriage is an achievement worth shouting from the rooftops.

To celebrate their upcoming ten-year milestone, Olympic champion Caster Semenya shared a touching tribute to her wife, Violet Raseboya. The heartfelt social media post offered fans a glimpse into their enduring bond and the deep commitment that has defined their journey as a couple.

Semenya shared a photo of the couple on Wednesday, January 7, with a caption calling upon God and their ancestors to bless and strengthen their union.

"Today marks our 9th chapter of our union nke Modimo le Badimo barena ba re kgontshe go feta mo. (May God and the ancestors give us strength)  Moshate," she wrote. 

Joining in on the celebrations were fans, friends and family who wished them well as they continue to love each other and embrace their union.

The couple have had two children since the beginning of their relationship. Their first daughter, Oratile Semenya, was born in 2019.

Iin 2022, they welcomed their second child, Oarabile Semenya.

In honour of her daughter’s third birthday, Raseboya described her as their “miracle” and also shared that they had tried four unsuccessful insemination procedures.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, she revealed: “God answers in three ways. He said yes and gives you what you want. He says no and gives you something better. He says wait and gives you the best. He gave us the best, which is you my lovely, clever princess.

“He gave us the best which is you my lovely clever princess. We had 4 unsuccessful insemination processes before we conceived you.”

Even though they have publicly celebrated their birthdays and taken to social media to celebrate the occasions, the couple have kept their faces hidden due to privacy reasons.

Semenya and her wife are also known to keep their family matters private.
