Faith Mangope's romantic engagement in Brazil: she says 'Yes'

South African media personality Faith Mangope is engaged!

The Metro FM radio host excitedly shared that she has entered a new chapter of her love story as a fiancée.

Taking to social media on Monday, December 22, Mangope shared the joyous news of her engagement alongside heart-warming pictures of her and her man, Sean McKenna, who proposed while they were on an intimate date night in Brazil.

Mangope captioned her post: “21.12.2025… On a beautiful night somewhere in Brazil… I Said Yes….To Becoming Mrs McKenna 💍💍…..

"My best friend and I are getting Married ❤️❤️❤️❤️. At the right time, I the Lord will make it happen.”

The radio host offered a close-up of her sizeable, stunning, yellow-gold engagement ring in some of the engagement pictures.

Her fiancé also shared a post dedicated to the romantic night and shared that the engagement night, describing it as a “life-changing day”.

He wrote: “There are very few days which profoundly alter the course of life, but yesterday was one of them! She said YES, and I could not be happier! I love you, baby 💍❤️🥂.”

This post was accompanied by pictures of Mangope, who beams with joy and excitement, clearly reflecting her happiness over the engagement.

Even though it is not publicly known when the couple started dating, Mangope has not shied away from posting McKenna on her Instagram account when they celebrate special occasions.

However, the radio personality has kept her relationship private and only started posting McKenna last year as they marked the celebration of his birthday in April.

Friends, family and industry colleagues joined in on the celebrations as they showered the couple with heartwarming congratulatory messages. 

“Argh, congratulations ❤️❤️,” Miss SA 2025, Qhawekazi Mazaleni, commented.

“❤️I’m smiling 🙏🏾🥹💐👑congratulations ma love ❤️,” singer and TV personality, Thembi Seete wrote.

While actress Nefisa Mkhabela added: “Omg! Congratulations Zamuuuu🥹🥹🥹🥹😍😍😍 I’m soo soo happy for you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰.”

While she is popularly known for her career as a broadcaster and a presenter, she once shared in an interview that her career in media all started when she helped a friend for a radio audition.

She added that initially she had aspirations to be an HR manager and a diplomat.

Besides her career in the media space, the 38-year-old is also an entrepreneur and has founded the Faith Mangope Technology and Leadership Institute, which addresses the digital skills gap in SA.
