Chidimma Adetshina, the former Miss Universe Africa and Oceania 2024, has become a viral sensation. Videos of her recent live stream on X showed her discussing her desire to remain in Nigeria and outlining her future ambitions, which include auditioning for "Big Brother Naija".

Her fan account posted Adetshina reflecting on her time in Nigeria during her journey in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant and shared that Nigeria is a good country for her.

“I really enjoyed my stay in Nigeria, even now, like I said, once I get my papers sorted and everything, I’m going. Like I’m really going.

“Nigeria was really great for me. The 8/7 months that I stayed there was amazing. I still feel like there’s more to unleash in Nigeria. There’s so many opportunities, it’s insane.

“I also wanted to do 'Big Brother' this year, but then my manager was like ‘No, you can’t do 'Big Brother' because you are still Miss Universe Nigeria.”

In another video, the controversial beauty queen further added that she is relieved that the whole pageant journey is coming to an end.

“It really took a lot for me, and I don’t think I speak much about it and stuff. But also, I just don’t want it to be my personality anymore.

“Like I’m so happy 2025 is coming to an end, this whole journey is finally over,” she shared.

Adetshina, who is currently in Cape Town, had a controversial year that was full of drama, and it is not surprising that she is relieved that this whole journey is finally ending.

Just recently, the 21-year-old made headlines after she posted pictures showing that she was in SA after people thought that she was in Nigeria.

Adetshina posted multiple pictures, showcasing her outfits with captions that carried meaningful messages.

However, her fans in the comment sections shared that her reign as Miss Universe Africa and Oceania was quite underwhelming because she was not active and never really posted anything.

“Why weren’t you active during your reign? This was the content we wanted and were looking for,” a fan shared.

“Looking great as always! @chicchi_vanessa, kindly do also share pics and posts of the humanitarian work that you were and are involved in. Just to motivate the younger girls that beyond the physical beauty, there’s advocacy, etc, that one gets to be a part of in the pageantry world,” another fan wrote.
