Leandri Joubert, a talented 15-year-old baker, bid a tough goodbye to The Taste Master Junior competition, leaving behind a trail of delicious memories and newfound skills.

The Grade 10 learner's journey culminated in a challenging task: hiding vegetables in kid-friendly meals.

Leandri's creativity shone with her butternut waffle topped with mince and vegetable sauce, but the judges felt she had a rocky ride, and crucial elements didn't make it onto her final plate.

Despite the elimination, Leandri beams with pride, having made lifelong friends and unforgettable memories. "I'm sad my journey ended quickly, but I'm proud of myself for making it this far," she said.

Leandri's passion for cooking started with simple two-minute noodles, and she's now whizzing up pasta dishes and baked treats that delight her loved ones. Her dream? To study culinary arts and open her own café one day.
