Verushka Singh has been crowned Mrs South Africa.

According to the pageant, Singh is the first Indian South African to be crowned Mrs South Africa.

"We’re thrilled to have broken that barrier, and celebrate the significance of this milestone. Standing confidently and proudly, she embraces the spotlight and owns her story. Now we start building a new legacy," organisers said.

She takes over the coveted title from last year's winner, Erin-Jane Miller.

What a moment!

The 39-year-old, Steyn City resident and mom of one, plans to use her reign to inspire awareness and meaningful conversations around climate change and sustainable living.

Singh works as a Climate Change consultant and holds a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of the Witwatersrand.

"I am passionate about climate change and sustainability, and I’m committed to advancing solutions that promote environmental resilience and responsible development," Singh said.

"As your new Mrs South Africa, I aim to use my platform to inspire awareness and meaningful conversations around climate change and sustainable living. I believe in living purposefully, staying connected to nature, and nurturing the balance between personal growth, family, and the planet we all share," Singh added.
