It's baby bliss again for Eben and Anlia Etzebeth: meet their new arrival

Rugby star Eben Etzebeth and his wife, Anlia, shared that they have recently welcomed their second baby girl.

Sharing the good news on social media, Anlia shared a heart-warming picture on Instagram of the new family of four in the hospital, shortly after she had just given birth.

Anlia is seen holding the adorable newborn, while Eben is seen hugging “tiny Elizabedi”, who is now a big sister.

She simply captioned her post: “One week of us,” on Thursday, October 23.

The Etzebeth family received congratulations from social media users, who wished them all the best as a family of four.

“Beautiful pic. Hope your first week as a family of 4 has been great,” @cammrynnlarsen commented.

“”Ahhhhh, congratulations, congratulations, you guys! Only blessings in abundance,” @marcielhopkins wrote.

While @valvanwyk54 added: “Congrats on the newest member of your family Eben and Anlia. May the 4 of you be blessed.”

Unlike her first pregnancy, Anlia kept the second pregnancy private; however, she shared glimpses of her stunning flower-themed baby shower, where she was surrounded by friends and family.

She shared a carousel of images showcasing the white one-tier cake, which was beautifully decorated with different flowers, and the cookies, which were decorated with flower icing.

Anlia captioned her post: “A Flower Garden Baby Shower for our little Wildflower in Jhb!”

Before welcoming the newest addition to their family, Anlia shared a heart-warming post dedicated to her first daughter, thanking her for “everything” she has taught them.

“Our first score, my dearest daughter.. You will always be the one (and Daddy, of course) who gave me the privilege of becoming a Mommy… Thank you for everything you have taught us these last 21 months to prepare us for No.2… We love you,” she captioned her post.

The couple tied the knot in Franschhoek in February 2023 and announced that they were expecting their first child just after the Springboks won the Rugby World Cup in France in October 2023.

The Etzebeth family is now the second couple that have welcomed their second child this year, after Marise and Handrè Pollard announced that they also welcomed their second child this month.
