Award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest has stirred up a conversation among fans by questioning the reported attendance numbers from Travis Scott's recent concert in Johannesburg.

Claimed to be the largest attended rap concert in South Africa, Scott's "Circus Maximus" tour reportedly attracted 75 000 fans. However, Nyovest, who has built a reputation for his own impressive concert feats, seems a little sceptical about the figures.

He took to Instagram to post a video alongside the caption: "Did Travis sell 75 000 tickets? #FillUpToyotaStadium."

"I'm seeing the headlines about Travis Scott's concert being the biggest solo concert in South Africa. Apparently, they sold 75 000 tickets, they said 60 000, but now it is 75 000, and I also see the conversation around me having 68 000 people and that actually being the biggest rap solo concert in Africa," he says.

He added, "I'm just glad we could push the envelope to a point that we are in the conversation in our land. How crazy this is. How far we've come. I can only give the glory to God for that."

Looking ahead, Nyovest is gearing up for his own upcoming concert on December 6.

"Your local champion is calling me because, clearly, the Americans are better than us, in your mind. We out in Bloemfontein doing Fill Up Toyota Stadium. I am very excited about this.

"I am working out right now, getting in shape, making sure I am ready for that because I intend to take it to another level again. Your local champion signing out."

Nyovest's fans took to the comments to support him as well as let him know that he shouldn't be comparing himself to Scott.

@cyakheswa said: "Let's go, you have been the best of the best still is to this day. 6 December si on🔥🔥🔥🔥."

@jaypillzworldwide commented: "You're a legend for what you did at FNB, no one can take that away from you, but all due respect, big Dawg, you didn't fill it up alone.

"You shared the stage with your colleagues, which is also great in itself. Travis, on the other hand, did it by himself. He deserves his flowers. One day you will also have a FULL on one man show in a stadium, I truly believe that day is coming, for now, good luck with your show (alongside the line up) at Toyota stadium."
