It’s raining engagement announcements!
Over the weekend, congratulatory messages filled the air after two “House of Zwide” actresses, Shalate Sekhabi and Rorisang Mohapi, revealed that they are now officially off the market with their respective engagement news.

Mohapi, known for her role as Palesa on the popular e.tv soapie, shared a carousel of images on Sunday, October 5, documenting her emotional and heartwarming engagement. Her long-term partner, Prince Grootboom, proposed to her after she read a plate inscribed with the words: “Will you marry me?”
The actress, who was emotional and crying tears of joy during the proposal, wrote in her caption that she cannot wait to spend the rest of her life with Grootboom.
“So many emotions, I have no words, I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you every day. I pray that God blesses our union till death do us apart. I love you, Rhadebe,” she wrote.
Grootboom is known for his portrayal as Jacob Tau in “Fatal Seduction” and featured in other local productions such as “Inimba”, “Ubetina Wethu” and “1802: Love Defies Time”.
While Sekhabi, who is popularly known for her former role as Shoki, excitedly shared a video on Instagram announcing her engagement on Saturday, October 4, beaming with joy as she showed off her dazzling pear-shaped diamond ring while singing the lyrics “I’ve got a ring on my wedding finger.”
It is also reported that Sekhabi’s boyfriend is her former co-star and on-screen husband, Wanda Zuma.
The pair have been spotted attending multiple events together, posting and commenting on each other’s posts.
However, they have neither confirmed nor denied the circulating rumours since they began in 2023.
Fans, friends and colleagues flooded both the actresses' comment sections with congratulatory messages.
“Congratulations, beautiful,” actress Zola Nombona commented on Sekhabi’s post.
"Oh bathong, congratulations,” actress Mapaseka Koetle wrote under Mohapi’s post.
While actor, Nkanyiso Makhanya added: “What?! Congratulations, you guys. May God bless this union. So happy for you.”
