Celeste Ntuli, a well-known South African comedian and actress, recently shared her experience of surviving a serious car accident.
Ntuli was on her way to a performance in Secunda, Mpumalanga, when the incident occurred last week.
In a Facebook post, she described it as a “proper near-death experience” and expressed gratitude for her survival. She also thanked the brand-new Jaecoo vehicle she was driving, attributing its safety features to saving her life.
Ntuli posted images of the damaged car, highlighting the severity of the crash.
Her post received an outpouring of support from fans. Buhle Thela commented, “We thank God for your life, sisi. We can fix cars, we can buy others, but we cannot buy another life… your life is far more precious than a machine… we thank God.”
Eddie Ndlovu expressed relief, stating, “Glad you're safe, sis wami. God’s favourite child, he still has a lot of plans for you. Keep praying, he has shown you how much he loves and protects his loved ones.”
Molly Thamane added, “Happy you came out unhurt. Your life is more important, Celeste.”
Ntuli is not the only South African celebrity who has experienced car accidents this year. In January, rapper Big Zulu was involved in a serious crash on his way home.
His record label, Inkabi Records, confirmed the incident and asked fans to keep him in their prayers. He was later discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for his injuries.
Another tragic incident occurred in August, when DJ Poizen, a prominent deep house producer, lost his life in a car accident near Polokwane. DJ Chymamusique, who was travelling with Poizen, survived the crash but sustained serious injuries.
He was hospitalised and underwent multiple surgeries. Chymamusique later revealed that the accident was caused by a truck driver, and he expressed his disbelief at surviving the ordeal, calling it a “miracle”.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “Truck drivers, please have mercy on us. Brief description: A truck caused our accident and ran away. Investigators are busy trying to find the truck, etc. But, for now, we give it all to God. Sorry for the pain. God will make a way, one day. Hit and run.”
Shebeshxt was also involved in another car accident this year, marking his third major crash in just two years.
The incident occurred when his Volkswagen Golf GTI was seen with significant front-end damage. While details remain unclear, the artist reportedly sustained injuries in the accident.
