Kelly Clarkson's ex-husband Brandon Blackstock dies, aged 48

Kelly Clarkson's ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, has died, aged 48.

The talent manager passed away after battling cancer for more than three years.

A family rep told People: "It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away.

"Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time."

Brandon's passing was announced shortly after Kelly postponed her Las Vegas residency in order to spend more time with their children.

The couple shared two children, River, 11, and Remington, nine.
