AWARD-winning broadcaster and media personality Carol Ofori brought glamour and South African pride to the Hollywoodbets Durban July, held at the iconic Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse on July 5.

The event's theme, "Marvels of Mzansi," celebrated South Africa's heritage, resilience, and extraordinary achievements, and Carol's stunning outfits perfectly captured the essence of the theme.

Styled by The Fifth, a collective of four trailblazing black female designers from KwaZulu-Natal, Carol wore three custom-designed looks that paid tribute to unique facets of South African culture, strength, and excellence. Her outfits included:

  1. A show-stopping white gown designed by Sibu Msimang, paying homage to South Africa's national flower, the Protea, and the national cricket champions.
  2. A gold gown by Zama Gumede of Zaviar Fashion House, exuding opulence and honouring South African excellence in the arts and entertainment.
  3. A black couture piece designed by Kwenzi Nkomo of Indoni Fashion House, channelling dramatic elegance and paying tribute to resilience, power, and bold feminine energy.

As MC at the Sinayo Hospitality Marquee and the East Coast Radio Grand Suite, Carol brought her signature sparkle, entertaining VIP guests and adding warmth and wit to the festivities.

"The Durban July is always a celebration of fashion, flair, and South African excellence," said Carol. "I was honoured to be part of such a spectacular day!"
