Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom “have been shifting their relationship to focus on coparenting”.
Representatives for the former couple finally confirmed their split after weeks of speculation, insisting that Katy, 40, and Orlando, 48, will “continue to be seen together as a family” as they focus on their daughter Daisy, four.
Their reps told Us Weekly in a joint statement: “Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting. They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
A source previously told Us Weekly: “Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable. It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”
The pair got engaged in 2019 and welcomed Daisy in 2020 and it is believed that they are determined to keep things amicable for Daisy.
The insider said: “They are still very much in touch. They aren’t making drastic changes for Daisy’s sake. They will keep their lives in Montecito [with a focus on] stability and consistency for Daisy.”
It was previously claimed that the poor performance of Katy’s latest album 143 - which came out in September - has put a strain on her relationship.
A source told PEOPLE magazine: "Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album. It made her very stressed."Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension."
And a different insider said: "She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It's put stress on their relationship."
