IN A HEARTWARMING and flavourful goodbye, contestant Tinyiko Sithole concluded her journey on The Taste Master SA's sixth season.

As a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist from Johannesburg, Tinyiko brought a unique blend of traditional South African cuisine with modern twists to the competition, showcasing her culinary skills and creativity.

Celebrating African food heritage

During her final challenge, Tinyiko created an African-inspired game-day snack platter featuring indigenous ingredients like sorghum, marula, and matomani. This dish not only highlighted her cooking prowess but also celebrated Africa's rich food heritage.

When asked about her inspiration, Tinyiko explained that she treated the challenge as an opportunity to share her world and the flavours she enjoys with the judges.

A lasting impact

Tinyiko's time on The Taste Master SA has left a lasting impression, with her standout dish being the Matomani wagyu burger.
