US singer and actress Jennifer Hudson is facing online criticism for seemingly not listening to her guests.

One clip from an interview in particular has sparked an online debate about Hudson and her interviewing skills.

Multi-award-winning actor Eddie Murphy appeared on “The Jennifer Hudson Show”, and the actress started asking about the wedding of his son, Eric Murphy.

“Are you going to sing at your son’s … Is it your daughter’s wedding right?”

To which, Murphy replied that it is actually his son’s wedding and it took place two weeks before.

The 64-year-old revealed that the couple decided to have an intimate ceremony, with just the two of them.

The award-winning actor shared that there will no longer be a wedding taking place.

However, Hudson still kept asking the question: “Are you going to sing at the wedding?”

In which Murphy replied: “No, they didn’t have a wedding.”

Despite Murphy telling Hudson that the big wedding will not be happening anymore, the TV host still asked: “Are you still going to sing at the afterparty of the wedding?”

The “Candy Cane Lane” star then continued to say: “Will I sing at the wedding? No, I ain't singing.”

Fans expressed how they think that Hudson does not listen to what her guests are saying most of the time.

“Jennifer Hudson needs communications training. Her show has a lot of potential, but she does not listen to her guests well or retain what they’re sharing, rather. Her interviews are just reactive responses - I need the skills sharpened immediately,” @xoJoyBelleox wrote.

@itsonlylizx3 commented: “Finally watched interviews from Jennifer Hudson's show, and yeah, she’s not a good interviewer at all. She doesn't even listen to her guest most of the time, she interrupts people at times, and it’s a lot of ‘wow’ and cackling, no follow-up questions either."

While @_RayReads_ added: “Watching Jennifer Hudson’s interview with Eddie Murphy made me realise how much we need real journalism back. Interviews aren’t just about smiling and nodding; they’re about listening and engaging.”

“The Jennifer Hudson Show” is popularly known for its iconic "Spirit Tunnel" that A-list Hollywood celebrities walk into, while the staff members of the show sing for the guests before their interview
