ONE LUCKY ticket holder has scooped the R110 million PowerBall jackpot in the April 8, 2025, draw – the biggest win of the year so far.
The winning ticket was purchased via the FNB App using the Quick Pick selection method, with a R30 wager. The jackpot had rolled over 15 times, growing from an initial amount to an estimated R110 million.
The winner has 365 days to claim the prize. All winnings are tax-free, and payouts are made within 72 hours of a valid claim.
Two individuals won R352,412 each in the second division for correctly matching five numbers. A total of 203,632 players won R10 each for correctly matching the PowerBall number.
The National Lottery operator, Ithuba, has support services in place for winners, including trauma counselling and financial advice.
The next PowerBall jackpot is estimated to be R5 million.
