Master KG and Nkosazana Daughter face online backlash for creating the same sound after Nkosazana Daughter shared a preview of an unreleased song.

South African singer, Nkosazana Daughter and award-winning producer, Master KG received backlash after the singer posted a video online of her dancing to one of her upcoming song.
Nkosazana Daughter shared the video on TikTok with the caption: “Do you think I created a dance challenge??? Let’s make it one."
The 24-year-old has been promoting and sharing snippets of herself jamming to the unreleased song for quite a while now.
An online publication, shared one of the videos of the singer on X and netizens did not hold back their opinions.
“All Master KG songs have the same chord progression. Still hearing the same things I heard 6 years ago,” @EmmanuelSteve16 commented.
@Nosihle_Adonis said: “I so wish she can stay away from Master KG’s sound, all her songs are starting to sound the same.”
@jameslepota added, “Her music has become so stagnant, I don’t know if it's her choice or the label but her songs are just the same now.”
Master KG soon clapped back at critics who claimed that his songs and those of Nkosazana Daughter’s sound the same.
The “Keneilwe” hitmaker said that those "same songs" are still hitting millions of streams and YouTube views.
He further shared that the last song he released accumulated over 18 million views on YouTube alone, so there is no need for him to change his sound.
Master KG and Nkosazana Daughter have been working together since 2021 and have collaborated on many hit songs such as “Sofa Silahlane”, “Dali Nguwe” and “Keneilwe”.
Most of their songs together have amassed over 1 million views on Youtube with “Sofa Silahlane” garnering about 60 million views.
The pair went on to work together on the album, “Makhelwane” which was released in 2024.
