Ariana Grande is officially stepping into the comedic chaos of the Focker family in the upcoming fourth instalment of the popular franchise, "Meet the Parents".

As confirmed by "People", the pop sensation and actress will join comedic heavyweights Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller, marking a thrilling new chapter in this iconic franchise.

Grande will portray the “ball-busting” fiancée of Stiller’s character, Greg Focker, adding a refreshing dynamic to the saga that has entertained audiences since the original "Meet the Parents" film debuted in 2000.

This latest casting announcement follows Grande’s performance as Glinda in the critically acclaimed film adaptation of "Wicked", which showcased her impressive acting chops, earning her multiple prestigious nominations, including an Oscar nod.

The original cast members, Blythe Danner and Teri Polo, are also expected to reprise their roles. John Hamburg, who has been instrumental in crafting the franchise’s previous scripts, will both direct and pen the screenplay for the new instalment, with its title still under wraps.

The film is slated for release on November 25.

Producer Jane Rosenthal hinted at exciting developments for the story, stating online: "We’d always talked about it (making a fourth film). Ben Stiller is now the same age that Bob was when we did the first one, and his kids have grown up, and they have to come home and meet the parents."

As Grande prepares to dive into comedy once again, she shared her enthusiasm with fans on a now-deleted Instagram Story: "Very thrilled to be joining (meeting) the family!!!!!!!"

As fans gear up for the return to the whimsical world of Oz with "Wicked: For Good" on November 21, this announcement about "Meet the Parents 4" adds another layer of excitement for Grande’s fans and cinephiles.
