Tyla breaks streaming records ahead of mixtape drop, calls fans to join her ‘movement’

Tyla is inviting her fans to party with her as she gears up for the release of her upcoming mixtape, "We Wanna Party".

That’s right - she’s coming in strong with new music this year, having been quietly working on her mixtape all along, and now she’s ready to share it with the world.

Building on the momentum from her previous hits, Tyla is taking her music to the next level with this exciting new project.

The Grammy-award-winning artist has been giving fans a glimpse of the vibes that are yet to come with her two singles, “Bliss” and “Is It”.

Fans in Berlin and London have been let in on a treat, as the 23-year-old singer will be hosting exclusive launch parties in both cities, giving them a chance to celebrate with her and experience the new music firsthand. 

They get to sign up for tickets on the website which describes the mixtape launch as an occasion bigger than just a “party” but it is a “movement” Tyla has been reshaping the sound of Amapiano with her blend of R&B and Pop and she is set to continue taking the sounds to global charts.

The London and Berlin “Tygers”, as Tyla’s fans are referred to, will get to party with her in person and create unforgettable memories with the star. 

On July 11, the superstar released her second single of 2025, “Is It”, which has been impressively going up the music charts since its release date. 

According to the Spotify daily charts, “Is It” has broken a record, receiving 1,274,357 streams on its first day on the music streaming platform. This marked her biggest day debut ever.

“Love you guys!!!!!! Another broken record, thank you,” said Tyla on her Instagram broadcast channel.

The latest single dropped simultaneously with a music video on YouTube that had fans in a frenzy. The video garnered 762,000 views on the first day of its release.
