Drone footage exposes the devastating impact of overflowing sewage at Kamfers Dam and along the R31 outside Kimberley. Birds are dying of suspected botulism, flamingos have disappeared, and hundreds of hectares of farmland have been destroyed.
Property owner Brenda Booth is claiming R120,000 from Sol Plaatje Municipality, accusing them of failing to act while the crisis worsens. Officials admit to “missteps” but blame funding shortages.
