RELIEF washed over Yoliswa Nganunu’s family and friends after the 25-year-old, who had been missing since October 31, was found safe and unharmed.
According to the Kagisho police, Nganunu was reunited with her family on Friday, November 7, bringing an end to an anxious week of searching and appeals for information. The police expressed appreciation to those who helped in tracing her whereabouts.
Nganunu was last seen leaving her home with a male friend on October 31. Her disappearance prompted a public call for assistance earlier in the week, as a search operation led by Detective Sergeant Dineo Motseothata of the Kagisho police was under way.
Northern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Merapelo Pilane confirmed that Yoliswa has since been found and is safe.
Police reminded the public that there is no waiting period to report a missing person, and any information that can assist in such cases should be shared with authorities immediately.
