TWO MEN, aged 35 and 36, were arrested in Kimberley’s Utility area on July 6 after being found in possession of suspected stolen goods.
SAPS Crime Prevention officers conducted a stop-and-search in Church Street, and the suspects were found in possession of electrical cables valued at approximately R3,000. They have been charged with possession of suspected stolen property and are expected to appear in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court soon.
The SAPS has reaffirmed its commitment to tackling damage to essential infrastructure and will continue to intensify efforts to combat related crimes.
The police also encouraged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, noting that public involvement is critical in ensuring safer communities.
By adopting a multi-faceted approach, the SAPS also aims to effectively address the issue of property-related crimes and maintain public safety.
